COVID-19  UPDATE

NOVEMBER 13, 2020

If you have questions or would like to speak to Pastor Larry, please call the church 260-774-3516 or Pastor Larry 260-370-1143.

MASKS ARE STRONGLY SUGGESTED BUT NOT REQUIRED.

THERE WILL BE MASKS AVAILABLE IF YOU FORGET YOURS.

WORSHIP SERVICES AND SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES HAVE RESUMED

Worship services has resumed, but with some restrictions and changes.  To abide by federal and state guidelines, the Church Board has made adjustments to our service.  Sunday School classes will meet immediately after Worship.

The state guidelines, as of November 13, 2020, allow for our church to be open.  However, the guidelines suggest that anyone over the age of 65, or anyone who has an underlying health condition (diabetes, heart disease, breathing or lung issues, auto immune diseases and such like) refrain from coming to church.  That will be your choice.

ENTERING THE CHURCH

The pew Bibles are in the pew, but we ask that you bring your Bible from home.  This will reduce the number of people handling the pew Bibles.

There will be no greeters and bulletins will be available as you enter the church.  Your offering may be placed in collection plates at the back of the sanctuary, mailed, or dropped off at the church during the week.  The congregation has been faithful to the Lord with your gifts and we appreciate your generosity.

To insure social distancing, we are asking you not to shake hands or give hugs.  (This will be hard because we are a hugging, hand shaking church.)  It is strongly suggested, but not required, that you wear a mask.   Please sit together as a family, but social distance when picking a seat.

DURING THE SERVICE

We will not be singing.  The words will be on the screen so we can sing in our hearts.

Communion will be served the first Sunday of each month.  We will be using prepared Communion cups.

LEAVING THE SERVICE

Please remember to social distance and refrain from handshakes and hugs.

OTHER INFORMATION

We will continue to record the Worship Service and post it on the website.  Every effort will made to have the service posted by Sunday evening, but our slow rural internet speed can require  three to four hours to post to the website.  We realize many have trouble watching the videos due to internet speed and we wish we had a solution.

Hang in there.  We will worship together!  We will sing together!  We will shake hands and give hugs!  Remember, no matter the circumstances, no matter the location, GOD IS WITH US ALWAYS!

WELCOME

WHO KNEW?

Who knew what 2020 would hold?  We sure did not!

The one thing we did hold onto was our faith, our trust in God, and the love of our church family.  When we could hold worship services, we shared our concerns on how everyone was coping with Covid.  We cared about the physical, mental, and emotional health of our congregation.

From December 2019 to December 2020, we learned to appreciate the opportunity to meet and worship together.  When we are unable to attend, how thankful we are that technology allows us to hear Pastor Larry's message, to hear the joys and prayer needs of others, to hear the scripture, and to enjoy the music.

Please enjoy these pictures taken between December 2019 and December 2020.
