If you have read the church history, you found the phrase:  There was one, then two.  There were two, now one.  This page will be the history of pastors serving after the move into the current building.

  • pastor larry wade

    April 1, 2016  to july 16, 2023

    Pastor Larry Wade has pastored Urbana Yoke Parish since April 1, 2016.  Receiving his education in Tennessee, Florida and Georgia, he has a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Ministry, a Master’s degree in Ministry, and a Doctorate degree in Homiletics.  


    Pastor Wade began his ministry October 5, 1975, as a Youth Pastor in Tennessee, and has been involved in ministry constantly since that time.  He has been a pastor since December 4, 1983, serving in Florida, Ohio and Indiana.  For nine years, Pastor Wade worked with a funeral home, as staff clergy, dealing with families during times of loss and, at the same time, continued in church ministry.


  • Pastor Chris Brock

    nOVEMBER 19, 2023 - pRESENT

    Chris Brock has pastored Urbana Yoke Parish since November 19, 2023.  He has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Aeronautical Engineering Technology (AET).  He also has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Aviation and Aerospace Management.  Chris did not have a traditional road to Ministry.  He had an engineering career, working for a local engineering firm until 2019, when God called Chris to ministry.  After that Chris started learning ministry skills from the Church of the Brethren’s Brethren Leadership Institute and Bethany Seminary’s Training in Ministry (TRiM).  Chris lives with his wife, Meghan, their two children, Elijah and Hope, and their assortment of animals.
