Even during COVID, blood drives were held.  We appreciate every donor!!  Did you know --

  • Every two seconds (count off two seconds) someone in the USA needs blood
  • Approximately 36,000 units of red blood cells, 7,000 units of platelets, and 10,000 units of plasma are needed daily in the USA
  • The Red Cross provides about 40% of the nation's blood/blood components, all from volunteer donors
  • Red blood cells must be used within 42 days and platelets used within 5 days

How can you help?  Watch for our blood drives and volunteer to donate, provide cookies, and work.

Am I really pregnant?  How can I find out?  If I am pregnant, what are my options?  Is my baby healthy?  What do I need to know to be a mother?  How do I tell my parents?  How do I tell the father?  These are only a few of the questions running through the mind of a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy.

Thankfully the Wabash Pregnancy Center is here to help women navigate this time in their lives and can provide free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds.  They will present you with the information you will need to make informed decisions on your options: abortion, adoption, and parenting.  These options are life-changing, but you do not have to decide on your own.  Life Center can provide post abortive care, material support, and the answers and facts you will need to make the best decision for your health and future.

Please use their website to find general information, contact information, location, and hours of operation.  You may call 260-563-7275 to schedule an appointment or to find the answer to specific questions.

lighthouse mission

Grab the peanut butter and jelly.  Add some gloves.  Throw in a hat.  Toilet paper is accepted.  Now put them in the box at the back of the sanctuary.  You have now supported the Lighthouse Mission's 5th Sunday project.

The Lighthouse Mission offers many Wabash County residents the boost they need.  There is the opportunity to purchase items in their Thrift Store or receive that jar of peanut butter dropped in our donation box.

the sign

How in the world is a sign an opportunity?  After all, it is only a sign!

2018 statistics show Wabash County has 977.23 miles of roads.  Do you have even an inkling of the number of vehicle miles driven each day on those roads.  Are you ready?  953,000 miles!  If only 1% of those miles goes through Urbana --- my goodness.  Only a sign.  I think not.

Our sign inspires all that drive by.

"the King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'

serving individually

Yes, the congregation serves in the community and in the church.  We also serve, individually, providing needs in other's lives.  We might be a prayer warrior.  We might visit shut-ins.  We might teach.  We might advocate.  Hopefully, these will inspire you to help others.

You might be the missing piece in someone's life.
